The Alderton Village Hall Redevelopment working group are pleased to be able to share with you the results of the survey conducted at the Public Consultation.
The results touch on the concerns over development and community cohesion and they also reinforce the fact that the Hall is considered outdated and could better serve our burgeoning neighbourhood.
However, they also demonstrate a strong desire for an improved facility, and emphasise the fact that Hall plays a pivotal role in helping address those issues by providing a Community hub which hosts a growing number of societies and activities.
Crucially, your feedback validates the key design principles we sought to implement; an all-round aesthetic improvement, more flexibility and opportunity for use, growth for new opportunities, and incorporation of renewable technologies.
Your input has been used to finesse the design showcased at the Public Consultation and the Architects have now produced a feasibility report.
The working group will now evaluate these findings and share the next steps with you all in due course.
We would also like to this opportunity to reiterate that we are not committing to build this specific design at this point; this report and the designs are still part of the process of exploring opportunities and assessing their feasibility.
As ever, we are grateful to those who have given their input to this process, and should you wish to become more involved, we welcome your assistance. You can contact us at enquiries@aldertonvillagehall.co.uk
